Mayor and Mrs. Cook at Lee & Beulah Moor Children's Home on January 22, 2011.
El Paso Mayor John Cook and his wife joined a group of the Mayor’s 100 Teens to serve a delicious and wholesome dinner to 50 children, parents, and staff at the Lee & Beulah Moor Children’s Home.
“I was very surprised when arriving at the Children’s Home," said Mayor Cook. "I found the children still remembered the stories and jokes I had told them when we visited last year. The children were waiting for us in their best clothes, and with a joyous welcome.”
Mayor Cook acknowledged that the Lee & Beulah Moor Children's Home could help more families if additional funding, food and clothes were available.
Mayor Cook extends sincere thanks and appreciation to all members of our community who generously support the Feeding the Nation’s Homeless Foundation and Señor John’s Barbeque Sauce, see: http://www.senorjohns.org
